today ruyan n i, together with mr chiam went to sarimbun to recee campsite for the camp which will commence in june. (yey... shld b quite fun) wahhh. the weather was bad... first slight drizzle, den sweltering heat. gee. don't know what's wrong with mother earth. haha. talking about mother earth reminds me of today's ct period. the GP batteries promotor.. haa.
ok. shall not side track. after lect ended at 2, there was e cca forum, which ended at 3 and that was when we set off for sarimbun. hmm... it's kinda out of the way. very far from my house.. haha anyway, it was kinda fun to be the navigator for mr chiam. havent done this before, i navigate and he drive. so cool.. =)
ok. but we missed the turn twice before i took the job of a navigator very very very seriously and stop eating the macdonald's fries. (i was hungry... manx. had my lunch at 9am...) i started staring at the street directory and the road intently, making sure every turn is a right one. but guess wad. we realised y we kept missing the turn. coz they blocked off that road.... for sum security purpose. bleah. haha. but at least i did my job well. =) yeyyyy..
at the campsite, it was kinda deserted. not much life. (on a second thought, this statement is paradoxical...) yes, there wasn't much life, yet no. there were signs of life. so it wasn't at all that still as i thought. there were... the buzzing of mosquitoes... lots of them. (n i really don't like that sound) and the itch n lil lumps on our hands and legs.. argh. yea... no life? i doubt so..
haha. aniw, the mosquitoes there are combat mosquitoes! they should serve army loh. sure go ocs one. hahaa... they just flock towards u without u knowing it, and stick onto you. no matter how u try to fling it away, i tell you, it's of no use. haha. so sweep them away. or be prepared to see lumps on ur skin after they willingly detach from u. hahaa.. ruyan call dem commando mosquitoes. but i prefer the name combat mosquitoes.
oh.. n we went into a very dense forest. wahhh. i saw quite a number of insects. after walking quite a distance, deep into the forest, we came to a unanimous decision that that forest was too dense for us to carry out solo walk. haha.. i found the idea of walking deep into the forest alone, using those kind of path with lot of vegetations and branches all around quite formidable. sounds quite... dangerous. my mum will kill me if she knows i did that. but nevermind. i didn't tell her the details. haha. only said i went to recee campsite. so shhh... *wink* but it was fun to have tried that. what an experience.. esp with us wearing hc skirts and blouses, so exposed to all the mosquitoes and insects... for a moment i became worried as i thought the sap from the plants might cause bad irritation to my skin. i don't wana more itch, on top of those from thosecombats...
there were many drains dug at the campsite. and at some parts of the campsite, the grass was so messy i couldnt see where im stepping. or maybe it was coz i was looking at the documents i was holding n yea... due to negligence (on my part), i stepped into some hole or whatsoever... heard a loud crack. sprained my ankle. yea, the crack was from my ankle.. bleah. i continued walking. repeating "ouch" at each step i took. and after a while, i didn't feel the pain anymore...
on normal days, if i sprain my ankle, i will not feel the pain till the nxt morning. but this time i felt it. almost instantaneously. so i wonder what will happen to me tml. bleahhh. ok. so i kept walking... up n down the slope too.. at one juncture, i even forgot which was the leg i sprained. but it felt weird. ankle does not feel normal. but who noes.. mayb after walking, my ankle will be ok. i have an interesting system that my body follows.. hee. =)
